The YG’s are delighted to be participating in the ECB’s Dynamos programme for the 2025 season
Running every Friday from 30th May-25th July - 18:30-19:30 at Queen Margaret’s School, Escrick
The Yorkshire Gentlemen’s Cricket Club (YGCC) Junior Cricket program for 2025 is an inspiring new chapter filled with hope and passion. We have made an exciting decision to transition from All-Stars (Ages 5-8) to Dynamos (Ages 8-11), starting a week earlier this year—because we believe in igniting young hearts with the love of the game from the very beginning. Although only ten Dynamos have joined us so far, every single one of these young players has brought a wave of energy, joy, and eager curiosity that fuels our every effort. The support and encouragement from parents, families, and friends have been truly heartwarming—witnessing their pride and cheer as the children grow and learn has been a powerful reminder of why we do this.
What’s truly inspiring is that over the past two weeks, our Dynamos have shown an incredible hunger for more—longing to play beyond the scheduled hour, their enthusiasm shining brighter each time. When asked, they eagerly express their desire to come back, eager to soak up more cricket, more friendship, and more fun. Their passion is contagious, sparking a fire within us all.
We wholeheartedly need volunteers to continue nurturing this wonderful spirit. If you are able to lend a hand on Fridays, 30 May to 25 July 2025, from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm, your support could make a life-changing difference for these young players. No cricket experience is necessary—only enthusiasm, a kind heart, and a willingness to make sure every child falls in love with the game. If you have never been to the YG’s Cricket Club before it is located in the magnificent park and grounds of Queen Margarets School, Escrick. It is a wonderful place to play and watch cricket. The pavilion will be open for parents and helpers to use during the evening.
