Season in Full Swing as the hot dry summer continues

Lots of cricket being played by the YG's during this hot sunny summer. A couple of losses have dented our record a little but it is still proving to be a good season for the club. A heavy loss to a strong Cheshire Gents side and a close exciting Match v the Langdale Lovelies being the only two defeats to date.

Last week saw the return of Jeff Thorburn to the club who brought with him selection of planters and hanging baskets to brighten up the clubhouse. A huge thank-you goes to Jeff who who also did the honour of umpiring the drawn match again the Halifax Nomads.

Bring a camera out and it causes out all sorts of funny reactions. Bill Dalton our resident umpire far more interested in showing his best side to camera and not paying attention to the cricket.

We are in the midst of a busy week of cricket so more news to follow shortly.
