The YG’s return to cricket saw them to a comfortable victory over Romany on Sunday 19th July.
Batting first the YG’s reached 210 for 5 thanks largely to a fine second wicket partnership of 143 from David O’Kelly (88) and Jack Rowett (53).

In reply, Romany were well pegged back and never really got going with a strong bowling performance all round. They were bowled out for 86 - James Van De Merwe with 5-7 off 4 overs was the pick of the bowlers.
Well done to Jason Dale and his team. A great start for the club - and also with the news of an additional fixture added in the last few days. The YG’s now take on Brocklesby Park this Sunday - 26th.
