In a rain affected match reduced to 35 overs a side, the YG's made 154-4, with a well made 68 by David O'Kelly in his first match of the season being the backbone of the innings. He shared an opening stand of 71 with Bevan Fawcett (30). Charlie Elliot also contributed a useful 26.
In response St Peter's were going well at 76-1, until the spin magic of Bevan Fawcett, changed the complexion of the game. He took 7-35 off ten overs and bowled the YGs right into the match. In a tense finish the school fell just 2 runs short on 152-9 after their allotted overs.
